Welcome To M.V.Higher Secondary School

M.V Higher Secondary School (Eng & Mal Medium) which bears the successful history of more than sixty years owes its existence to the farsighted vision of our founder the late Sri.M.Velayudhan popularly known as ‘M.V’ in south Kerala.Established as a UP School in 1951 and upgraded into a High School in 1953, he could transform the cultural face of his native village and thus leaves unforgettable imprints on the sands of Arumanoor. The Higher Secondary section started in the year 1998-99.

After the death of the founder, Sri.M.Velayudhan, his eldest son Sri.V.Jayachandran took over the reigns and mission left behind by his father and is actively administering his father’s dictates.At present M.V’s youngest son Dr.Jayakumar is the Manager.Now the School is set in verdant lush greenery with many acres of land area and adorned with light rise buildings and play grounds.There are well equipped labs, libraries and smart class rooms.

Vision and Mission

The School aims at forming citizens who are physically healthy, socially acceptable, morally upright and mentally mature. The School provides several opportunities to the students to discover and develop creative and artistic talents along with their academic pursuit.

Rules & Regulations

1) Students should be in proper uniforms and badge the identity cards issued from the school.
2) School diary should be brought to school everyday.
3) When a teacher enters the class, the students must keep standing greeting until the teacher ask them to sit down.
4) Students should keep with them the text books, note books and other required items for the classes they attend.
5) Bringing mobile phones, ipodes, tablet pc’s, and pen drives etc to school is strictly prohibited.
6) Habitual negligence in the class works, dishonesty, obscenity in words or act or any other acts of misconduct will involve severe disciplinary action.
7) Students should insist on queuing system while going outside the classroom to playground, or doing intervals for any purpose.
8) For hiring buses, students should queue themselves inside the school compound and obey the directions of teachers in charge, or security guards.
9) The students won’t be allowed to go outside the school compound during school hours.
10) Students are expected to keep decency and decorum in their behavior, dress etc.
