Co-Curricular Activities
NCC
The NCC all over the country aims at installing in students a spirit of discipline and willingness to serve the country. Students can get themselves admitted to the NCC at the beginning of each academic year from std. VIII. The cadets are given regular training in the school and at camps. Examinations are held and merit certificates awarded are eligible for grace marks according to their grade for admission to higher classes. Uniforms and refreshments are also provided to cadets. Sri. Alex Sam Christmas is the NCC Officer.
Scout & Guides
The Bharat Scouts & Guides is a voluntary, non-political, educational movement for young people, open to all without distinction of origin, race or creed ,in accordance with the purpose, principles and methods conceived by the Founder Lord Baden Powell in 1907. The purpose of the Movement is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of local, national and international communities.
Principles:
The Scout /Guide Movement is based on the Following Principles.
DUTY TO GOD:
Adherence to spiritual principle, loyalty to the religion that expresses the acceptance of the duties resulting there from.
DUTY TO OTHERS:
Loyalty to one’s country in harmony of local and international peace, understanding, co-operation. Participation in the development of society with recognition and respect for dignity of one’s fellowmen and for the integrity of the natural world.
DUTY TO SELF:
Responsibility for the development of one’s self.

The Law for the Cub and Bulbul is:
A Cub / Bulbul is obedient.

Red Cross
Students can enroll as member of the School Junior Red Cross. Established to create social awareness in students, it imparts personality development to it’s members through study and work camps, social service activities and other useful productive works.
It is a healthy sign for our country that more and more young people have shown an increasing participation in all the spheres of activities. They have become more responsible and proactive and thus have been effective in influencing positive change on many issues.
The Indian Red Cross Society is auxiliary to the Government of India, as well as being a member of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. For over 90 years, the Red Cross in India has been providing support and relief following both natural and man made disasters as well as community health and social support. Indian Red Cross Society recognizes the strong contribution that young people have already made through our junior and youth programs, and plan to enable them to do more and do better. In a number of states, we are already engaging with and supporting young people to take humanitarian action in their communities. The aim of these guidelines is to provide a tool for other states to emulate their action.
The Indian Red Cross Society aims to inspire, encourage and initiate at all times, all forms of humanitarian activities so that human suffering can be minimized, alleviated and even prevented, thus contribute to creating a more congenial climate for peace.
NSS
Aims of NSS:
Personality development of students through Community Service.
Objectives of NSS
1) Understanding the community in which they work.
2) Understanding themselves in relation to their community.
3) Identify the needs and problems of the community and involving them in problem solving process.
4) Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
5) Utilize their knowledge in finding practical solution to individual and community problems.
6) Develop competence required for group living and sharing of responsibilities.
7) Gains skills in mobilizing community participation.
8) Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude.
9) Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters.
10) Practice National Integration and social harmony.
Souhrida Club
Adolescent counselling and health care programme is a unique moral and innovative programme conceived and launched by the Department is implemented in schools through Souhrida Club.
To improve the physical, academic, social and interpersonal skills of adolescence and lead them towards a successful adult hood. Souhrida Club assures a platform for students to express their problems frankly. Privacy and transparency are two key factors of Souhrida. The activity oriented objectives are “Enable self-development and Empowerment of adolescents. In short, we focus on the concerns, hopes, dreams and goals of pupils in the adolescent age.
Objectives of Souhrida Club:
1) Identifying the adolescent’s problem.
2) Equipping the which are adolescents to manage geographical, social, religious and economic stress and strain among them.
3) To practice life skill education.
4) Counselling to adolescents on psychological and social problems.
5) Social preventions.
6) Pre-examination counselling.
7) Pre and post result counselling.
Career Guidance and Counseling
AIMS:
1) Academic Achievement
To enhance student achievement to reach requirements for high school graduation and post secondary success; school counselors will provide individual or group counseling, classroom guidance etc.
2) Personal and Social Development
To promote the personal or social development of students in a safe, inclusive learning environment; school counselors will provide individual or small group counseling, classroom guidance etc.
3) Career Awareness
To provide a foundation for students to understand their interests, abilities and challenges; school counselors will provide prevention education, individual or small group counselling and classroom guidance.
